WHAT CAN HAPPEN TO A MISTREATED LIPO AND HOW TO BUILD A BUNKER?

TEACHER NOTE: The following lesson is designed to teach the students the LiPo Battery and its use in the curriculum aircraft.


  • Afterwards, discuss with the students the importance of LiPo safety, especially creating a safe charging and storing environment for batteries.


  

TEACHER NOTE: Please make sure to set strict safety guidelines for Lipo battery use and have the proper equipment available for safe charging and storage.

  • Create a LiPo bunker.
  • Review how to charge the batteries and how to store the batteries, and enforce rules and consequences if the bunker is not maintained.
  • Having a well-functioning battery storing and charging system in place can make or break the program.
